ABOUT
We care about your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how you think, feel, and act. We help you realize your abilities to cope with normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, relate to others, and make choices.
We all desire a life filled with meaning, purpose and fulfillment. However, we are often hindered from this life because of hurts from our past or fears about our future. In holistic psychotherapy, we examine our fears and pains to create an authentic and healing transformation in our lives. These sessions provide a safe space allowing for the freedom to talk without guilt, judgment or shame. Everyone can benefit from this freedom by having the chance to explore who they are on the inside in relation to what is happening in their lives. Commonly through this process, our hurts and fears are transformed, and an authentic and integral expression of our selves is achieved.
Registered Psychotherapy can be of great benefit if you:
“The body mirrors the mind and soul and is much more accessible than either” (Casey, Benson, & MacDonald, 2004, p. 212). The individual’s body benefits from this hands-on psychotherapy by accessing emotions, thoughts and feelings through breathing and concentration. Becoming aware of the potential underlying psychological connection to their illness or condition, allows the individual the opportunity to heal, transform and grow.

Quite simply, you need therapy if you make the decision to see a therapist. This is a personal choice that depends on a lot of factors. Some people seek the services of a therapist to help them through major life events, such as divorce, job loss, or the death of a loved one. Others have difficulties rooted in trauma or mental illness.
But not everyone who decides to see a therapist is having difficulty. Some people simply want to explore ways to make further improvements to lives that are already going well.
Therapy can be extremely beneficial if you and your therapist are compatible. Generally, you can tell after one or two sessions whether you and your therapist have the right kind of connection.
It is important to note that therapy is not a quick fix. Although you might start to notice some changes within yourself soon, therapy is a process that, for most people, lasts months or years.
A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in the medical treatment of mental disorders, and who can prescribe medication if needed.
Psychologists can be referred to as “scientists of the mind”. They engage in research about mental health and mental processing.
A Psychotherapist is someone who has undergone the training to provide talk therapy and experiential therapy through non-medical means.
Neither a psychologist nor a psychotherapist can prescribe medication.
to help you deal with the traumatic effects that sometimes come with delving into painful issues or memories.
It is impossible to put a time frame on Psychotherapy. The results and the time it takes to achieve them, are different for everyone. Instead of giving your expectations a timeline, it is better to allow the process to evolve naturally.
